When the genes slow down their production or stop working completely then the cell will no longer be able to produce necessary proteins like keratin - hair, melanin - hair color, and the cell becomes inactive, does not divide and the size of the hair follicle becomes so small that it is unable to produce enough for hair color and later too small to produce hair. Active Telomerase, if provided to the cell, it will re-lenghten the DNA's ends called the telomeres. By re-lenghtening these telomeres back to their ORIGINAL SIZE AGAIN, the cell begins to work like a teenager cell again and begins to divide normally and rapidly as when it was young and it begins to produce all the needed chemicals in copious amounts, needed to make hair and hair color again.
